The IRS offers business tax credits for those small businesses that hire veterans who have experienced unemployment or have a disability related to their service. Keep this in mind when you bring a veteran onto your team, as there are forms we’ll need to work together to get to the IRS at the time of hire; then we’ll visit the issue again at tax filing time, when Form 5884 lets us tell the IRS you qualify for the credit.
